3 Planters

I got another planter built I get building another planter after moving some sod around in a neighbors yard. This planter is 16" and once dirt is in it, I don't think it will move. I get sweeping up the garage picking up staples and moving the planter out side. Dixie was out side with on the lawn. No worries about the saw going hurting her ears. She never even barked.  Just sat out there while I built the planters. I got all three done.  Later tonight I will have to roll flyers and get those ready for delivery. I am tired, been working since 9 and still talks about driving these planters to there spots tonight. My mom wanted a small one, and Kim picked out the planter completely made out of bought wood.  I think she thought it was the nicest.  I am.not going to argue.  It's her birthday and mothers day.  Both mom and daughter are a day apart.  May is a busy month. Brothers, Cousin, both Mothers for Mother's Day then a Mother birthday and a Wife'...

A Morning Job

Digging up sod I got invited to work on a neighbors lawn today.  Dug up some Sod. They are placing a sidewalk along there house 🏠. I showed up ten to nine, and the job was all ready set up.  The lines pegged, all I had to do was dig.   Made it easy to stay on track, the line along the sod to keep straight along.  Also made it easier to see how he wanted the job to be done. I think we were pleased with the out come of it.  He said it was well done, is great to hear they're pleased with how it looked.   Kim came by with the dog and the dear brought me a sandwich.  I only had an egg and apple for the morning with my coffee.  Made the noon easier to get by.  We also got two pens he got working in over the winter.  The avid writer I am, found it to be a terrific gift. Here's a photo of the pens. By the sounds of it he mills it and assembles the pen himself. As a hobby over a winter. My Moleskine I am in right now, I finally ...

2 planters done

Start my day with a 45 minute walk  Dixie was happy she got a walk 😁.  Then I get home thinking I'll get nothing done cause my anxiety peeked after so I sat and started out the window as every thought I abruptly end half walk in process.  It got to be less or cutting trees and cutting only half the branch. It be like a human getting  gangrene.  Like if the limb is particularly half cut off and nothing happens to it the rest of the body dies.  Like a tree 🌲 if it's half cut it sucks the life out of the whole tree. So my thoughts felt awfully similar.  Writing a list and as I go through stop and wonder if I should and don't. So I sat in the office til about 1 after completion of a walk at 11. Then I emptied the dishwasher, listen to a podcast. I find it I listen to someone else talk I can organize myself just enough that my Dyslexia doesn't go to an autism spectrum. After the dishwasher emptied out get out and start building a pallet planter. Wh...

Another busy day

Built a planter today I am making a planter for my mother in-law out of the old green house wood.  I have lots of pallets.  But they are in all different sizes which would complicate it.  The green house wood had to be used up.  There's three to four levels a box and floor on the bottom, a rim giving to strengthens it so I used 2 by 4 and then a top part that's to cover all the cuts and joinery problems.   Since I only used a circular saw and a square.  Also some pliers to pull the staples out.   That took me to about the evening from 3.  The day started is. I started the day taking branch's and foliage/shrubbery to the yard waste and recycling.  Then picked up dirt, compost and peat moss for the garden. I dug that in while in the middle of it took Dixie for a 20 minute walk.  Then Kim came home and I kept digging the peat moss in.  I have all ready turned it 2 days ago, need it once and this is the second turn dug in the ...

May 2 chair build

Making Chairs I get sweeping after a day in the garage making Chairs.  I sit down and get a quick photo.  The chairs are quite balanced and sturdy.   When I was in the disability worker field.  I would do a class of individuals and make chairs to sell. Seems like a decade ago. But really only 5 years about.  These Chairs have a bit more to it and would be harder to fall apart. We got to fixing the chairs from the ability resource centre.  We out carriage bolts in and thicker stability studs.  Put counter sink screws that were bigger. Those were done in spruce instead of cedar.  I got to be happy that they weren't wobbling.  We did the first one out of all weather wood and the others in cedar. We visit with my nieces and nephew.  Well I sat there, and kids visited with grandparents as my brother read a outdoor magazine to his son.  Saying words he didn't know.  Then he went around saying types of fish 🐟🎏. The Niece...
