Another busy day

Built a planter today

I am making a planter for my mother in-law out of the old green house wood.  I have lots of pallets.  But they are in all different sizes which would complicate it.  The green house wood had to be used up.  There's three to four levels a box and floor on the bottom, a rim giving to strengthens it so I used 2 by 4 and then a top part that's to cover all the cuts and joinery problems.
Since I only used a circular saw and a square.  Also some pliers to pull the staples out.

That took me to about the evening from 3.
The day started is.

I started the day taking branch's and foliage/shrubbery to the yard waste and recycling.  Then picked up dirt, compost and peat moss for the garden.

I dug that in while in the middle of it took Dixie for a 20 minute walk.  Then Kim came home and I kept digging the peat moss in.  I have all ready turned it 2 days ago, need it once and this is the second turn dug in the peat moss.  Will have to rake it in to get the clumps out.

After that I began to bring all the planters to the front, and get ready to turn those up. And mix it so it will be suited for a good yield.

Planters line up.

Next in one of these photos you could see the lawn got air raided. We drove around to get bleach and a spray bottle to keep other stuff from growing from other yards.  🍄 Mushrooms or weeds on the air raider to try to keep it clean which it's surprising on how busy people are lately in stores. On how they want to close all the very stores that are busy.  So we then rented an air raider and did all the yards, in the renter pool.

Here I am turning the dirt or it was after the picture taken in the evening.  Let the rain soak up and mix it more. Will be a good grow season I am hoping for.

Kim made a dinner that was terrific and my brother bought me a sandwich.  I enjoyed it 😁 shaping some Cedars and cutting down more branches.  Putting straps around the Cedars to keep them more sturdy.  Cut some branch's from a cherry tree to keep them from touching wires.

Kim's meal she made me.

Or I think it's a lilac tree.  But it is a very nice smelling tree.  A beautiful smell, the bees were all through it.

Took those branch's also to the yard waste and recycling and the day is also done.  It's 7 pm and I have been working all day.  Like they say when you work for your self you do 12 hours but if you worked for another guy you'd only work 8.

I'm pretty sure I started at 9:30 after my coffee.

This has been a streak of working.

The planters is for my mother In-law for Mother's Day and a Birthday gift.

My Mom I'm hoping to work on a chair with my dad and get that done for my Mom's as a gift.

Maybe I should ask what kind of lumber we need and go pick it up.

Try to help my dad or my dad help me to make a chair. Later this week.

The start of Shenton Creation's

This 2021 we are starting, A new endeavour.  A project that has been talked about for the new year is Kim and my time crocheting, so wood projects and treats we make for our dog.   Hopefully this is the start of an encouraging way to discover new ways into our friends, family and ourselves in a journey with a project, this will commemorating our first blog together, one I have been asking Kim to start for some time.  Hopefully to have more enthusiasm to keep up with our little knickknacks and novelties. To make trinkets in out time and share these moments of thought together bringing about well-spent time jointly. Next post will be on the afghan that I have been working together and could be done on a solid color or two colors of picking. The suspense of this afghan is squares, with white trim. Here part of it set on a chair. Kim is working on a pink one that I will work on the trim as soon as we have enough squares.    Over the holidays 🎄 🎅 w...
