Finishing up a step
Worked in this for my afternoon 😊.As I get building my front step. I guess the cuts were all different.
I did it in my socks, yet I shouldn't say it is. A task for lounging about on a porch.
It felt if I put on shoes my thoughts would walk away. As parts to plan like cutting which boards would be proficient to not be short a board for the step or screwing or planning angles. I should say it's like seeing hearing. I'd see hearing move away for whole parts of my job. I go that's a bit weird to see hearing thoughts move away in one's head and one does this crossed eye spatial out of body seizure, sounds loony. Like word salad, and confusion.
Sounds like synesthesia, which isn't as crazy as some might say.
A long list of vitamins I'd take for years and I've seemed to stop taking them the last year. In the picture below.
I thought I'd never get to it, three cans of wasps spray and only one or two wasp fly by around and out during the build. It's unsure if they were part of this nest under the step or just flying about where the wasp trap is. They never bothered me and I just ignored that last scraggly few that survived the spray foam and traps.
Wasps traps have a while neighborhood of wasps in them. They seem full when I check at a end of day job.
I thought I would work this step. Sort of a puzzle putting it back together. Kim says it makes it look distinct.
I like how it turned out, I used all the wood I got, or most of it for the job. There might be a foot and half board left. So I did good on estimating the job. I did the math while driving in my head on the phone.
I actually was looking for green all weather wood and I sure a lumber yard would have a board initially laying around even after being discontinued. Yet I got three boards and did the whole step. I have some wood that might go into planters now. I'm undecided how I'm refurnish it, since it sort of broke apart while taking it apart. The screws where all but unattainable to come out. The tops where crusted over in mud or stuff that a knife could pick out. As it all came out with a large crowbar.
Enjoyed the task. Cleaned out some spider webs under. Also lots of dog fur that comes out the dryer hole that a lint trap never caught.
Having a dog there's hair everywhere. I try just sweeping it up so we don't plug up the vacuum to much.
A dog is always a gift of joy coming home to or going out with. Peer joy and excitement on all the mundane tasks one gets to. A dog makes it look fun.
A deck job finished.
I think it looks great.
Good work Nigel! I like the color 😊
